Dearly Beloved in Christ,
Greetings!
It is a joy to know about the ministry and witness of St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Puliyoor, and to see how the Christian faith received, nurtured, and faithfully lived by our forefathers is being meaningfully communicated to and embraced by the younger generation.
Our rich spiritual heritage is not merely something to be preserved; it is a living faith that must continually find new expressions in the changing context of our times. As a faith community, we are called to engage meaningfully and qualitatively with society, bearing witness to the love, justice, compassion, and hope of Christ.
The Church exists to build the Church, which means building the People of God. It must be a community where faith is lived, shared, questioned, explored, and deepened. The Church should be an arena of genuine faith exploration, where every generation is encouraged to discover the relevance and transforming power of the Gospel in its own context.
Through the Word of God, we are invited to discover novel and meaningful experiences of faith. Our faith in the Triune God calls us not only into a deeper relationship with God, but also into responsible relationships with one another and with the whole of creation and society.
The Mission of the Church
The mission of the Church is both spiritual and social. We are called to nurture people in faith, strengthen families and communities, empower the younger generation, and respond with compassion to the needs and challenges of our society.
A vibrant Church is one that listens, learns, serves, and journeys together.
May St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Puliyoor, continue to be a community where the faith of our forefathers becomes a living inspiration for the present generation and a meaningful legacy for generations to come.
May the Church remain rooted in the Word of God, strengthened by the grace of the Triune God, and committed to building the People of God in communion with God and in service to society.
May God bless the Church, its members, its ministries, and all its efforts to witness to Christ in the world.
With Prayers and Blessings,
Euyakim Mar Coorilos
Suffragan Metropolitan
